About the Item
This artwork is almost at the intersection between geometrical art, optical art and surrealism. It features a number of what appears to be blue or transparent glass tiles, floating arranged in a quincunx pattern, on top of an orange background gradienting radially from dark to bright in the center of the canvas, as a sun in a heavy sky. The subject has a peculiar perspective : on the bottom half of the canvas, the tiles have the same size, but on the top half their size decreases, while the space between them doesn't reduce, as if they were actually growing on a substrate, the older being in the lower part of the painting.

Description:
This vibrant abstract oil painting is a striking study of geometric pattern and color, featuring a richly textured grid in warm shades of orange, red, and yellow. The painting is centered around a rectangular motif composed of carefully aligned squares and rectangles in earthy hues, bordered by lines of teal, green, and soft pastels that create a stunning contrast against the surrounding warm tones. The artist has skillfully used varying shades to create depth and rhythm within the grid, giving each square a...
