About the Item

BIO Reynier Ferrer Pérez Reynier Ferrer's work is a visceral reflection of his life and emotional states. His painting, deeply intimate and expressive, emerges from a spontaneous process where the subconscious and improvisation play a key role. Born in Havana, Cuba (1979), Ferrer trained at the San Alejandro Academy and continued his studies with Spanish painter José Luis Fajardo at El Hombre y sus Entornos. He currently lives and works in Miami. His career in contemporary art includes more than 14 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows in over 30 countries. Among his most recent solo exhibitions are: • Inquietantes Dicotomías (2024), Duque Arango Gallery, Medellín and Bogotá. • An Act of Faith (2023), Ascaso Gallery, Miami. • Evolving Journeys (2023), duo exhibition at Art of the World Gallery, Houston. His work has been exhibited in institutions such as Lincoln Center (New York), Warwick Museum, and the Watson Institute at Brown University (Rhode Island). It is part of the collection of the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana and has been selected for the City of Miami’s public art program. Additionally, his work is present in private collections in more than 30 countries. Recent Art Fairs Ferrer has participated in major art fairs, including: • Zona MACO 2024 & 2025, with Art of the World Gallery and Duque Arango Gallery. • Art Miami 2024 & 2025, with Art of the World Gallery, Ascaso Gallery, and Duque Arango Gallery. Artistic Process & Language His work is based on automatism and pictorial experimentation. Without preliminary sketches, his compositions emerge in a state of trance where gesture, texture, and chance create striking visual encounters. In his paintings, abstraction and figuration coexist in a dynamic tension that evokes desire, intensity, and transgression. Each new series represents a search, avoiding repetition and keeping the evolution of his pictorial language alive.

Sebastian Spreng, is a Miami-based artist born in Argentina, who at the early age of 17, had his first solo show at a gallery in Buenos Aires which was sold out at opening night.
