Sheila Daube is an abstract artist based in Southern California, whose work blends rich color, organic forms, and experimental mediums. Sheila Daube
Sheila Daube is an abstract artist from Southern California. Influenced by the mid-century American School she also credits her years as a preschool teacher as fundamental to her art. “I’ve been trying to paint like a five-year-old for years, trying to return to my original reaction to color and line.” Daube is inspired by timeless themes from mythology while exploring unique mediums using foil and powdered pigments. Daube teaches classes in abstract art at Art on 30th in San Diego.
