About the Item
The artist’s specialty consists of calligrams or images created out of text achieved in large part by her fascination with drawing. Salas statement is that drawing is a complete art itself and not a procedure. This unique piece freehand creation represents her interest in paying homage to drawing through calligrams, combined with her passion for Renaissance drawing technique. In this case, Giulio Monteverde’s angel sculpture was the reference for the composition of the delicate range of lights and shadows interpreted by a diverse satura&on of patrons/words which correspond to the verses of a poem written by her (in italian, spanish and english):
