I am innately drawn to create raw, emotive, expressionist pieces, mostly abstracts, which distil a subject down to its feeling. Everything is made up of shapes and colours. Style : In Hindu philosophy, the 'Antahkaran' refers to the totality of two levels of mind , namely the Buddhi, the intellect or higher mind, and the Manas, the middle levels of mind which exist as or include the mental body. It refers to the entire psychological process, including mind and emotions. Ghoshal’s paintings weaves an Antahkaran, creating structural spaces, sometimes meditative & melancholic in nature. His contemplative mind, enters into the inner realm of reality, dissects it and extracts a kind of mystic silence.
The extant contemplative in wardress in him got charged with meditative spirituality through his association with this heritage city. Benaras, started flowing in his canvasses both through landscapes and human faces. Since 1995-96 his Benaras paintings started transforming. Initially his landscapes contained reflection of naturalness transformed through melancholic chiaroscuro. Gradually the naturalness started disintegrating into expressionistic structures. At a certain stage during 2004-05 some of these structures yielded into abstractions shedding all the links with naturalness. Then again the sign-symbols integrated into geometrical structures reflecting traces of original locations.

Born : Born in 1965. Tapas spent his childhood and early youth in the quiet idyllic environment of rural Bengal. The soothing lyrical landscape and the intrinsic mythical past within the rural life made a great impact in his inner being, which aroused in him love for beauty, spiritual in nature, making him contemplative and inward looking.

In the latter half of the nineteenth century and into the first decade of the twentieth, New York City art aficionados could count on finding recent work of Seymour Joseph Guy hanging on the walls of the city’s major galleries. Primarily a genre artist, but also a portraitist, between 1859 and 1908 Guy showed more than seventy works at the National Academy of Design. From 1871 to 1903 he contributed over seventy times to exhibitions at the Century Club. From 1864 to 1887, he sent about forty pictures to the Brooklyn Art Association. A good number of these works were already privately owned; they served as advertisements for other pictures that were available for sale. Some pictures were shown multiple times in the same or different venues. Guy was as easy to find as his canvases were omnipresent. Though he lived at first in Brooklyn with his family and then in New Jersey, from 1863 to his death in 1910 he maintained a studio at the Artist’s Studio Building at 55 West 10th Street, a location that was, for much of that period, the center of the New York City art world.
Guy’s path to a successful career as an artist was by no means smooth or even likely. Born in Greenwich, England, he was orphaned at the age of nine. His early interest in art was discouraged by his legal guardian, who wanted a more settled trade for the young man. Only after the guardian also died was Guy free to pursue his intention of becoming an artist. The details of Guy’s early training in art are unclear. This interior with two female figures where also the plans made in different colors are drawing the composition.
The abundant pictorial material distributed in geometric portions, gives life to the tablecloth and mother and daughter figures, in black and white colors of the jacket, while the black line takes care of the environments so as not to separate them.
The fruit bowl and flowers give a cheerful touch with their pastel tones.
Emilio Grau Sala came from a family of artists. He was born in Barcelona in 1911 and his father, a good cartoonist, had been one of the promoters of the "Salon des Humanistes" and made his exhibitions normally in "Sala Parés", Barcelona.
His first works were exhibited at the Salon des Independents. In the years 1930-33 he had painted under the influence of Cubism, especially that of Torres García. It is from that time a painting of the port of Barcelona, geometric and structural, which completely anticipated what would later be his work. His personality began fully painting watercolors and oils with a certain fantasy character, with a point of decorative instinct and themes full of naivety and grace. Romantic interiors, paddocks, port scenes, sailors, etc.
Grau Sala was essentially a Mediterranean painter, son of post-impressionism and enriched with French painting of the last fifty years. Mediterranean because his work has the color and light of that land.
He understood and assimilated impressionist painting very well, and for that reason he was never subject to the modules of a formulist realism, nor the sexigencias of the forms.
In Paris he found the best environment to give us a fruitful and intense work, because he could use the expressive potential of French art to enrich it.
All this made him a very esteemed artist everywhere where his work was known. He was also very often required to illustrate books and publications in Paris. Also his posters were very successful.
He painted a large number of subjects, but perhaps the theme of horse racing is where you can see in a very clear way the joyful and optimistic life that was lived at that time. In this fabric there is an explosion of juicy and vivid colors full of ingenuity and simplicity in its composition. Only a teacher could turn the complicated into something simple and beautiful. Before this work we feel a deep emotion, the emotion of before starting a horse race. Joy and nervousness at the same time. Especially since it is a direct emotion. There are no intermediaries between our eyes and what the work intends to tell us. This is precisely what seduces and catches us of this painting.

I have completed my bachelors of fine arts from JNAFAU Hyderabad.My first solo show happened with gallery g in 2010.later after that I had many solo and group exhibitions. Recently I have been painting various versions of a bull that is traditionally decorated during sankranthi. I am touched with Indian culture and tradition and since past many years I have been working on this bull series and its also symbolic image of "SANKRANTI" festival.
My childhood my village are the reasons for this gangireddu. I lived in a village for twenty five years and am strongly connected to my village and my roots there.And I have chosen Gangireddu because I found it very interesting with beautiful traditional elements in it. I feel it's nothing less than a beautiful composition of art.

LITERATURE
Visita con el cardenal combines the two most salient characteristics of Sánchez-Barbudo's work: the search for novelty of theme and narrative content, and the use of minutely detailed brushwork and luminosity. Sánchez-Barbudo specialised in elaborate 'costume pictures', delighting the viewer with impressive details finely rendered with dazzling technical virtuosity.
Here, Sánchez-Barbudo depicts a well-to-do bourgeois family receiving a cardinal in their home. The interior, sumptuously furnished in the rococo style, along with the rich costumes and fabrics, are beautifully observed. Yet beyond the high technique lavished upon the composition, the treatment is comic and full of character and suffused with a gently satirising anti-clericalism.
The cardinal, far from getting the attention he expects, is, literally, sidelined, his expression and body language showing his pique. There is no doubt that contemporary collectors and spectators took pleasure in the sight of noble self-respecting figureheads of the church being brought back down to earth. The comedy was appealing, and the message suited the prevailing political mood of an increasingly secular middle-class buying public.
Salvador Sánchez Barbudo was born on March 14, 1857 in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz). He was one of the most important Spanish artists of the "casacón" genre, who followed the Fortuny tradition in Rome. During his childhood he was under the protection of the Marquis del Castillo and in 1875 he moved to Seville where he attended the School of Fine Arts, becoming a disciple of José Villegas...
