A wonderfully atmospheric painting depicting the light flooded and serene interior of a Gothic cathedral. Depicted is the 13th Century St Paul's Cathedral in Munster, Westphalia. The work is unsigned, but is undoubtedly a work by Henry SCHAFER (1833-1916), the ultimate painter of cathedral interiors of the Victorian era.
