Description: A vibrant and atmospheric 1978 watercolour landscape by British artist Tony Herbert 1927 to 2024 depicting Bude Canal in north Cornwall. The composition captures the peaceful charm of this historic waterway known for its unique system of inclined planes and its role in connecting Bude to inland agriculture during the 19th century. The scene features a rustic green boathouse and adjacent red structure on the towpath flanked by lush vegetation and a wide stretch of canal water beneath a dynamic sky.
