"Contaminating the Innocent" is a bold statement on our society today. Plastics are everywhere and what they are doing to the environment is devastating. What they are doing to the next generation is even more catastrophic. Bruno plays with this idea by bringing this angelic child to the forefront of the issues at hand. This small surreal landscape shows a line of row houses that are exaggerated and seemingly floating off the panel on which they are painted along with what seem to be seeds from the over sized plant. The two figures depicted are central to the composition - one on the phone and one with his back toward the viewer but we wonder what they are doing.
