Impressionist oil on canvas in lovely pastel green-blue shades, this summertime painting of trees, river and path is in the In the style of Camille Pissaro and other French impressionist artists of natural scenes.
Pissaro (1830-1903) mastered plein air scenes of trees in moments of stillness and tranquility, expressed in shades of light.
In this painting the colors are refreshing and delicious. Soft light permeates the whiteness of the path, spaces around the waters and sky behind the trees. Framed in a wood frame that complements the wooded scene. Signed E. Ester? lower right and dated 1924. Bring the outdoors inside! This little gem is only 11” by 8” in the frame so will fit almost anywhere!
