Originally from Nantes, Claude Marin (1914-2001) enjoyed painting the coastline of Brittany with its bustling beaches and rocky coastline. He also loved capturing the animated Parisian joie de vivre found in the many squares and parks; his colours and spontaneity reminding one a little of Renoir.
