A fantastic Mid-Century painting of a car driving through a mountain pass by artist & Photographer
A. George Miller. Artwork size: 15" x 22". Framed size: 21" x 28". Handsomely framed in a black/brown toned frame.
A. George Miller was born in Monroe, MI in 1904 and attended the Art Institute of Chicago beginning in 1923. He was one of three official photographers for the 1933-34 Worlds Fair, The Century of Progress Exhibition in Chicago. After the fair, Miller opened his own photo agency called “Photography Inc.” He taught photography at the Art Institute of Chicago and exhibited there, as well. A Renaissance man, he also designed patents for cameras and other implements. His paintings have a Modernist, linear nature and often depict city scenes and landscapes. In 1984, Miller died in Pinellas County, FL at the age of 80.
