On a fresh spring day strolling on the red clay pathways through the famed forest at Winterthur Garden, the flowers simultaneously feel their way through the rich soil and lush greenery as they delight you with their seemingly random combination of fragrant and well attended flowers. The stately irises welcome you with their delicate white and pink pedals and lead you on past the asian jardiniere and into the heart and beauty of the the abundant and lush floral landscape where magentas and yellows and lavenders and pinks comingle with the various shades of green. Master impressionist Jim Rodgers has used his many techniques and tools to create the thickness of the greenery, the sturdiness of the trees and the delicate color and texture of the flowers that grace this original impressionist oil painting. Rogers studied painting at both the highly respected Art Students League of NYC and Ridgewood Art Institute of NewJersey. He has pursued his craft for more than 30 years to notable acclaim; his work is included in the collections of a prior chairmen of J P Morgan Chase, Pennsylvania Trust and Champion Mortgage Company as well as inclusion inmany other significant collections.
