Brief Biography of Joan Vives Llull
Joan Vives Llull was born in Maó in 1901 and died in 1982. He studied at the Escola de Pollença under the influence of Hermen Anglada-Camarasa. Upon returning to Menorca, he worked as a drawing teacher, directed a municipal art school, and ran an antique shop with his wife. He is regarded as a pioneer of modern painting in Menorca, known for his authentic landscape approach and luminous character. He participated in exhibitions across the Balearic Islands and mainland Spain, and his works are held in both public and private collections in the region.
