"Provence.Lovesick wastelands" landscape by Lilia Volskaya. The painting "Provence.Lavender wastelands" is a creation of impressions of lavender blooming and its fragrance.. A nod to Western art is the most subtle allusion to the work of the French post–impressionist Paul Cezanne.
The painting was painted using an ancient technology: the paints were prepared on the basis of mineral pigments crushed in a mortar and mixed with oil and other substances.
On the surface of the canvas, the paints under the artist's hand create intricate iridescences, flow into each other. They dance and freeze to inaudible music. And then, with a deft touch, like a kiss, this magic appears on the canvas.

Lilya Volskaya is a Russian artist who has exhibited nationally. She studied EBRU in Turkey in 2002-2005 and completed a course in painting and drawing in the workshop of Alexander Sergeev 2005-2007 MGAKHI named after V. I. Surikov. The Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. She lives and works in Moscow. Lilya creates using eastern techniques of drawing on water – Ebru, Ceramic Style, and some more traditional - wet acrylic, resin pouring, classical oil painting, palette knife.
