A captivating vintage farm scene by Lu Ann Barrow executed in oil on canvas in 1973. The picture features a night scene in a field of yellow flowering crops with black and white dairy cattle grazing. A family strolls along a path that runs though the center of the composition from their farm house on the distant horizon. The father wears blue overalls and a straw hat, and carries a child on his shoulders. The mother wears a red dress with polka dots and an apron. She carries a baby. Another child walks with a yellow dog, and a fourth child runs behind. Along the path is a grove of five trees with bright green fruit on their branches. A flock of black birds roosts on the tops of the trees. A distant red and white windmill stands at the top of the hill. Signed, bottom right "Barrow '73" This oil on canvas painting is framed in a stately, natural wood frame. Ready to hang.
