Painter of Landscape
Antony Rives was a pupil of Jean Jalabert and Adolphe Yvon at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
In 1869 he first exhibited at the Paris Salon des Artistes Français which he became a member in 1883.
He was the father and teacher of the watercolorist Cecile Rives born in 1880.
