Roman Gross, born in 1980, is an artist whose journey through the realms of art has been marked by dedication, exploration, and a profound passion for self-expression. From his early years, Gross demonstrated an innate talent and love for painting, beginning with private lessons in watercolours and later delving into the depths of oil paints, primarily focusing on still life and landscapes.
His formal education in the arts commenced at the High School of Culture and the Arts, where he honed his skills under the guidance of instructors while simultaneously pursuing independent studies. Immersed in a rich cultural environment, Gross's interests extended beyond painting to encompass music, theatre, and various forms of artistic expression.
It wasn't until 2017, however, that Gross fully committed himself to painting, realising that art was an indispensable part of his being. Delving into the techniques of oil painting, he delved into the works of old masters, immersing himself in the intricacies of their craft. He frequented art exhibitions and museums, seeking inspiration and refining his artistic vision.
Initially drawn to landscapes, Gross's artistic journey took a profound turn as he discovered the liberating world of abstract painting. Here, he found a medium that allowed him unparalleled freedom of expression, delving into the depths of his innermost self to create works that transcended traditional boundaries.
