A most charming Victorian oil painting covering so many details of this quaint and idyllic rural life. The old thatched cottage stands next to the pond, the washing drying in the breeze on the line whilst livestock graze in the tranquil meadows beside. The church spire stands proudly in the distance. The work is very typical of the East Anglian School of painters, most likely from Suffolk.
