Original " LIDO REVUE BONJOUR LA NUIT CHAMPS ELYSEES BLUEBELLS GIRLS" vintage poster by the artist Rene Gruau. (Hello the Night). This poster features 30 Bluebell girls at the Lido on the famous Champs Elysee in Paris. Very fine condition without stains, tears, or restoration. Linen-backed. Ready to frame.
The artist Rene Gruau created a series of posters for both the Lido and the Moulin Rouge cabaret in Paris. An artist is known by his signature and his monogram signature of just the letter “G” on his artwork.
Pierre Louis-Guerin and Rene Fraday producers, Director: Bob Turk. Costumes by Folco. and of course don't forget the 30 Bluebell Girls.
The ladies in white dresses are in the foreground while a group of men with top hats are hidden in the background. A dark royal blue with black detail makes this mint condition original pop.
This is an original poster, archival linen backed in very fine condition. Ready to ship and frame.

René Gruau, an Italian-born artist who made his name in Paris and New York as an illustrator for fashion houses, women's magazines, nightclubs and ballet companies. René Gruau astounds us simply by the immensity of his work, his modernity, his simplicity and his utter elegance. He is a virtuoso performer of the greatest names in fashion, the most prestigious brands, the most colourful shows. but the artist has the elegance to stay behind his works. His talent and his highly personal style shine through... In the 1990's there were exhibitions of his work in Germany, Japan, Monaco and France.
