Notes:
Engraved by an unknown English artist (Active: Early 18th Century) after a drawing by Scottish artist Colen Campbell (1676-1729). Comes from Campbell's three volume "Vitruvius Britannicus", (1715-1725) (First edition), which consists of 300 engravings. The first edition was published in three volumes in 1715, 1717, and 1725. Printed in one color from on copper plate: black. Strasbourg Lily variant watermark in the center right of its sheet. "Liverpool Free Public Library" chop mark/blind stamp lower right in image.

Colen Campbell (15 June 1676 – 13 September 1729) was a pioneering Scottish architect and architectural writer who played an important part in the development of the Georgian style. For most of his career, he resided in Italy and England. As well as his architectural designs, he is known for "Vitruvius Britannicus", three volumes of high-quality engravings showing the great houses of the time.
