(54.61 cm x 73.66 cm), Description: In this Duane Bryers print, the artist depicts a classic camp of cowboys and companions sittting in their sleeping bags and blankets eating their recently-cooked meal while the cook of the camp looks on proudly. Resting one hand on the makeshift table set up from the back of the wagon, the cook's apron blows in the wind while a cowboy already at work herds a group of cattle together in the distance. Comprised of individual scenes, this print encompasses the bond between cowboys and their reliance on one another while working shifts in the plains.

Wilcox is described as the "Dean of Cleveland School painters," though some sources give this appellation to Henry Keller or Frederick Gottwald. Wilcox was born on October 3, 1887 to Frank Nelson Wilcox, Sr. and Jessie Fremont Snow Wilcox at 61 Linwood Street in Cleveland, Ohio. His father, a prominent lawyer, died at home in 1904 shortly before Wilcox' 17th birthday. His brother, lawyer and publisher Owen N. Wilcox, was president of the Gates Legal Publishing Company or The Gates Press. His sister Ruth Wilcox was a respected librarian.
