About

3 landscape format mezzotint plates by and after Ridinger. [Published: Augsburg, 1750]. A rare group of prints depicting stag and bear hunting with dogs. Captioned below image in German and Latin. Johann Elias Ridinger (1698-1767) was a German painter and engraver who studied at Ulm before establishing himself in Augsburg where he soon made a great reputation for animal paintings.
