This brightly colored large-scale color lithograph was published by C. Burckardt, Deponirt "Druck u.Verlag v. C. Burckardt's Nachf., in Weissenburg (Elsass), Germany," circa 1880. Printed on two sheets, then joined and backed with linen. The paper size is 35.38 x 52.25 inches (89.9 x 132.7 cm). The printer/publisher stamp is in the bottom center of the image - 199. The singing cat holds sheet music titled "Du, du liegst mir im Herzen."
“Lithographic printer and publisher based in Weissenburg; often lettered on prints as 'C Burckardt's Nachf.' ('Successor of C Burckardt'); was succeeded by Rudolph Ackermann at an unknown date.” – The British Museum.
