Original boxing print with the initials P.B. in the upper left corner. Printer Ed. Sagot Editeur, Paris. Professional acid-free archival linen backed and ready to frame. Excellent condition. Color lithograph. Lithograph signed P.B. (Paul Baroni) Outside border is a light tan/crème color. Printer: Ed. Sagot, Paris Grade A-. No paper loss, great colors.
About this special printer and the date of this original print: Edmund Sagot opened a Paris bookshop in 1881. He added fine contemporary prints (estampes modernes) to his stock in 1884 and posters in 1891. To advertise the printmakers whose work he published, Sagot commissioned original posters and mailers by his artists, including Alexandre Lunois and Félix Vallotton.
