Natural Plane
By Ben Young
Located in New York, NY
Ben Young’s sculpture fluidly blends glass, concrete, bronze, steel, and light to depict romantic and pensive imagery highlighting the fragility of our climate and its most precious resource – water. Born in Australia and raised in New Zealand, Young is an avid surfer and environmentalist, inspired by a lifetime on and around oceans, bays, and reefs, with an intimate understanding of the challenges our precious ecosystems face.
Young’s thought-provoking sculpture shows great range, portraying the beauty and solitude of life on the ocean, haunting depths of the deep sea, and stunning and relaxing upside of island life. Water is many things to many people, which Young encapsulates brilliantly in his work, encompassing themes of sustainability throughout.
Using concrete to create mountains, crevasses, sand bars, and cliffs, Young’s innovative use of materials is transportative. With hand-carved glass as his guiding medium, Young amplifies light and its relationship with water – our most sacred element – to create a glowing unity that people from around the world connect with on a personal level, whether they are beachside or in the Desert.

"Mountain King" ceramic sculpture with figure, deer, snake and chrysallis
Located in New York, NY
This free standing glazed porcelain sculpture features multi-level coves in which various scenes are depicted. The bottom level of the 'mountain form' holds a dreamer figure with a hanging chrysallis above. The second, middle section holds a snake in a nest like form. The top level holds a resting deer. The overall mountain form is transfigured into the embodiment of a male figure, with a long cloak draped along the back. This figures and forms in this sculpture are all hand-built by Austrian-American artist, Sascha Mallon.
“Mountains are a recurring theme in my work. They are a metaphor for the body and also allude to my Austrian heritage. They refer to the border between inside and outside and represent stability and home. My mountain sculptures...

Discordo Ergo Sum Red Rose Sculpture with knife in Murano Glass by Bertlemann
Located in Zug, CH
A continuation of her evocative Venice Biennale's installation, Bertlmann creates this sculpture as a symbol of both attractiveness and strength.
Knife-rose by Renate Bertlmann
Murano glass and metal, protected by acrylic case
Edition of 50, plus 20 APs
In mint Condition, accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity
Acquired directly from the manufacturer
Signed, numbered and dated
PLEASE NOTE: Edition numbers could vary from the one shown in the pictures.
A continuation of her installation, 'Discordo Ergo Sum‘ ('I dissent, therefore I am‘); which consisted of 312 glass roses, Bertlmann represented the Austrian Pavilion, as the first female solo artist, at the 58th Venice Biennale in 2019, where she focuses on the dichotomy of the human existence. The focal point of Bertlmann´s practice lays within the playground of gender and social issues, as can be seen in Knife-rose, an edition of 50 hand-blown Murano glass roses. The flaming and voluptuous red rose may be inviting, but from its core a sharp knife penetrates its petals and is ready to defend itself, awaiting an attack.
"Perhaps it was novel for me to focus from the very start on investigating and developing a new image of the male by the female and did not restrict myself to developing a new image of the female by the female."—Renate Bertlmann
RENATE BERTLMANN
Austrian feminist avant-garde artist, Renate Bertlmann´s multimedia practice explores the gender roles within societal conventions. Her provocative pieces challenge the way women are held back by societal conventions.
Active since the 1970s Bertlmann, who was born in Vienna in 1943, has worked in a variety of mixed media; including collages, drawings, photographs, photo-films, performances, and sculptural objects. The fil rouge of her work is the ambivalence of the feminine and masculine relationship, pursuing, often also with humor, an interrogation on gender relations.
"My main interest became the phenomenon of male abuse of power; power as disinhibiting aphrodisiac, especially within the realm of sexuality."—Renate Bertlmann
In 1975, Bertlmann participated in the ground-breaking exhibition 'MAGNA. Feminismus: Kunst und Kreativität' [MAGNA. Feminism: Art and Creativity] curated by fellow feminist artist Valie Export...

"Pearl Royale Chess Set" 14K White Gold & Diamonds Ed. of 3 by Colin Burn
Medium: 18K White Gold, Diamonds, Sapphires & South Sea Pearls
Limited Edition - 3 Only
Edition: Artist Proof 1/1
NOTE: preparation time may take up to 12 weeks.
Pearl Royale Limited Edition Chess Set
Crafted in solid 18K white gold and pave set with more than 510 carats of fine diamonds, the Pearl Royale stands as the world’s most opulent chess set ever created. This unique and lavish chess set radiates pure opulence through the finest quality
materials, design, and workmanship. Handcrafted with a luxurious regal feel the Pearl Royale is symbolic in its design to the renowned 1849 Staunton standard chess set. Limited edition with only three sets being created, each being hallmarked, numbered, and authorized by the artist.
Each solid 18K white gold chess piece is painstakingly paved’ set with the highest quality fine diamonds, AAA South Sea pearls, and Ceylon Blue sapphires, sitting atop a crystal glass board embellished with solid 18K white gold, pearl, and diamond set corners. The underside of each piece is intricately designed and channel set with the same quality fine diamonds and finished with smooth polished edges to glide effortlessly across the crystal glass board. Crafted as part of the artist's Limited-Edition Pearl Royale contemporary art collection, this truly unique chess set is sure to be realized as one of the world’s finest jewelry artworks ever created.
Exquisite Staunton
With championship origins, the Staunton design has been the world standard since 1849. Inspired by this legacy, the artist has paid homage to this royal standard, meticulously dressing and bringing each of his pieces to life with lavish regalia, fit for Kings and Queens.
Artists Inspiration:
As a young child I regularly played chess with my cousins so my parents gave me a beautiful Staunton chess set which I really loved. Growing up in the 60’s & 70’s my generation was exposed to Hollywood movies of epic battles, it was popular for us kids to have collections of toy soldiers which made chess a popular game as it embodied the same spirit and challenge. Thinking back on that fun times I was drawn to the idea of creating the world’s most beautiful chess set and in 2008 I finally put pen to paper to commence the design. At the time I was doing a lot of work with beautiful South Sea pearls, so they became the inspiration for my design to embody the heads of each piece and bring life to the characters. It was perfect as I could use both black and white pearls to define each side of the chess set.
It was also important for my design to be Staunton-inspired as this has become the standard for chess sets since 1849 and the only chess set allowed in the world championships. I wanted to create the most beautiful chess set within this royal standard and it had to be dressed in all its regalia, with the world’s most beautiful diamonds and rich blue sapphires fit for kings and queens. My overall dream was to create the world’s finest chess set for the world’s greatest players to do battle!
- Colin Burn

Valerian with Spice Bush Swallowtail
By Carmen Almon
Located in New Orleans, LA
Carmen Almon uses copper sheeting, brass tubing, steel wire and enamel paint to create exquisite botanical sculptures. She captures the fragility of a moment in time by interpreting particular plants based on her memories of them. “These botanical compositions seem to defy their sheet-metal origins to come alive. Branches bend, vines loop, leaves twist, and a few surprising bugs, from butterflies to beetles, drop in to colonize her plants.” Through her work, one is reminded of the beautifully illustrated botanical books of the 17th and 18th century – Linneaeus, Ehret, Redouté – which Carmen often refers to for inspiration. Each piece takes up to twelve weeks to complete, therefore, few are realized each year making them rare treasures.
In reference to our human connection to flowers, Carmen states, “Romance, marriage, funerals. Subconsciously, they represent so many things, innocent beauty, courage in the face of obstacles and continuity in the cycle of life and death. When I work on a plant, I am often thinking of this.”
Almon grew up in Barcelona and Washington DC and resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her works are exhibited at the Chinese Porcelain Gallery, NY; and Octavia Art Gallery...

Tobias Martin was born in 1972 in Wiltshire, 12 miles from Stonehenge. Influenced by his idyllic rural upbringing, and the forces of nature and magic that permeated his childhood surroundings, these works have something of the mystical about them.
Each piece is approached with precise observation and an acute interest in the minutiae of the subject matter, manipulating the material with a delicacy and lightness of touch. Despite being realised in heavy materials such as bronze, the resulting piece achieves a sense of movement and character that conveys the essential spirit of the animal.

In October 1960, Arman, Yves Klein, François Dufrêne, Raymond Hains, Martial Raysse, Daniel Spoerri, Jean Tinguely and Jacques Villeglé, and art critic and philosopher Pierre Restany founded the Nouveau réalisme group. Joined later by Cesar, Mimmo Rotella, Niki de Saint Phalle, and Christo, the group of young artists defined themselves as bearing in common their "new perspective approaches of reality." They were reassessing the concept of art and the artist for a 20th century consumer society by reasserting the humanistic ideals in the face of Industrial Expansion.
In 1961, Arman made his debut in the United States, the country which was to become his second home. During this period, he explored creation via destruction. The "Coupes" and the "Colères" featured sliced, burned, or smashed objects arranged on canvas, often using objects with a strong "identity" such as musical instruments (mainly violins and saxophones) or bronze statues.
The son of an antiques dealer and amateur cellist, the artist absorbed an intense appreciation for music, the art of collecting and the cultivation of discriminating taste from an early age. After studies at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Nice, Arman decamped to Paris to study art history at the Ecole du Louvre. His work in these early years focused on abstract paintings inspired by the work of Nicolas de Staël. An avid reader, Arman sought inspiration through books and art reviews, as well as during frequent road trips throughout Europe with his artist friends from Nice, Claude Pascale and Yves Klein.

The Ballerina Before the Mirror of Life, Eduardo Oropeza bronze sculpture brown
limited bronze edition of 25 Cast in the USA
Sculptor, painter, printmaker, & photographer, Eduardo Oropeza remains a commanding presence in contemporary art. He applied a high level of devotion and integrity to his artwork. After the many years he had been working at his chosen profession, he saw being an artist as a tremendous gift, which honored and humbled him. A native of California's San Joaquin Valley and long time resident of East Los Angeles, Oropeza's academic training began with the study of Sociology. After taking an art course, he ultimately changed majors and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from San Jose State. Postgraduate work followed at San Jose, San Diego State at Long Beach, and Palomar College.
Oropeza’s contribution to public art in Los Angeles can be seen in a ceramic mosaic covering the 2 story Self Help Graphics Workshop building located at Ceasar Chavez and Gage streets in East Los Angeles. Oropeza donated his time and artistic talent to complete this multi-year project. The second phase of this project was the creation of a Virgin of Guadalupe shrine, for the community.
Selected collections: Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Hispanic Research Center, Arizona State University, City of Sacramento, California, Mary Tyler Moore, Eartha Kitt, Juanita Jordan, BET Television, St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco
