Artist Biography -
Will Adler is a 38 year old west coast photographer known for his distinctive take on the surf world. Adler's laid back, light infused images, (as often of women surfers as men) convey the spirit and atmosphere of place as much as the action of the sport and have earned him a cult following in surfing and photography circles. For his summer show at Danziger Gallery, Adler is showing pictures from Hawaii, California, and Montauk shot for himself and for magazines such as Juxtapoz, Neon, Surfer, WAX, and The New Yorker, His commercial clients have included Quiksilver, Patagonia, Nike, and Hixsept.

A libertarian and anarchist, he worked alongside Fernando Arrabal, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Olivier O. Olivier, and Roland Topor and participated in the Panic Movement in the 1960s. Zack Seckler's series, “Botswana,” is comprised of a series of exquisite aerial photographs taken in the Kalahari basin in south central Africa between 2009 and 2010. The body of work offers a quite different and almost magical view of the much-photographed and iconic landscape. In order to be able to capture these breathtaking images, Seckler enlisted the services of an expert pilot who flew a small, ultra-lightweight aircraft at low altitudes under 500 feet.

Anne Andersson was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a great desire to explore Nature and a Passion for Art. She received a degree in science in 1981 from Kjällbergska University in Gothenburg and a degree in Art from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She now works from her studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as a Sculptor, illustrator and painter. Her work calls to mind the animalia artworks of Henri Maik and Gustavo Novoa.
Anne Andersson's artwork serves as an homage to our planet’s charismatic and rare wild animals. Inspired by the majesty and beauty of exotic wildlife, and motivated by an urge to preserve them, Anne’s astonishingly realistic life-size sculptures capture the experience of seeing these animals up close without exploiting them. Her sculpted work using natural materials and clay, provides a humane alternative to big game trophy hunting and taxidermy.
She combines her talents in painting, tapestry weaving and illustration with an intuitive attention to the smallest detail to truly bring her sculptures to life. She has created lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cheetahs, bobcats, lynxes, pumas, panthers, elephants, rhinos, bears, water buffalo, bison, moose, wolves, coyotes and more—but she feels closest to the big cats.
