Jessica Glasscock

Jessica Glasscock is a writer, lecturer and independent curator living in Riverdale, New York. She was a cocurator of the retrospective “Stephen Sprouse: Rock on Mars” at Deitch Projects and organized the lecture series Form Follows Fashion for the IDC program at Parsons School of Design. A research associate at The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for more than a decade, she developed public programming for exhibitions from 2011’s “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” through 2019’s “Camp: Notes on Fashion.”

Her writings include the books Striptease: From Gaslight to Spotlight (2003), American Fashion Accessories (2008) (written in collaboration with Candy Pratts Price) and Making a Spectacle: A Fashionable History of Eyewear (2021). She has taught fashion history at Parsons School of Design since 2003.
