Abstract Painting Mixed Media in Gray-white-rust-black by Hassan Bourkia, 2008
Located in Salzburg, AT
Abstract Painting Mixed Media in gray-white-rust-black by Hassan Bourkia Marrakesh 2008 Hassan Bourkia was born on December 19, 1956 in El Ksiba, near Beni Mellal. He is a writer, translator and visual artist. He has been teaching literature since 1982 and exhibiting in the main art galleries in Morocco and in various places abroad since the early 1990s. He recently participated in the Buenos Aires Biennial of Contemporary Art (Bienalsur), and his works are in several large private collections and museums. Hassan Bourkia has been exploring the field of memory for several years to speak about the drama of immigration and the suffering caused by the trauma of conflicts around the world. From his own life he draws the experience of an intimate apocalypse that leads him to work on collective wounds through archives and fragments. He lives and works between Beni Mellal and Marrakech. French Midcentury Bronze Naturalistic Designed Mirror for Lanvin Paris, 1970s
Located in Salzburg, AT
A French midcentury bronze mirror with naturalistic decoration. A poetic looking mirror with branches and leaves entwining around the frame. Playful and unevenly distributed bronze elements. Even the suspension (18 x 5cm) resembles an element from nature, a branch that quite randomly and casually on the upper frame laid down. The branches and leaves are engraved and textured the surface is colored from light to dark green with lacquer paint, giving the elements depth and naturalness. A mirror like a poem, even the back is included in the Enwturf. Painted on the back and signed by hand Ly De Rohanchault for LANVIN (the fashion label in Paris). So obviously a mirror made for a store interior or showroom for LANVIN. Lanvin or the Jeanne Lanvin S.A. is a French fashion company founded in Paris in 1889 by fashion designer Jeanne Lanvin. It is the oldest French couture fashion house to exist continuously and to this day.[1] In 2019, Lanvin celebrated its 130th anniversary. Under the Lanvin brand, high-priced prêt-à-porter fashion, accessories and perfume, each for men and women, as well as children's wear, are sold through its own network of boutiques and upscale retailers worldwide. Between 1909 and 1993, Lanvin also produced haute couture fashion for women...

Pair of French Napoleon III Bronze Candlesticks by Foundry F. Barbedienne 1860s
By F. Barbedienne Foundry
Located in Salzburg, AT
Pair of very elegant classicist candlesticks in fine patinated bronze, signed BARBEDIENNE. The execution of the casting is extremely finely worked with delicate leaves on the outer wall of the candlestick, with a head of antiquity on the upper part of the stem which flows into the lower part with fluting and side volutes. The 3 curved legs stand on raised feet with delicate strappy sandals. Measures: The diameter at the top is 3.5cm and at the bottom 13.5cm Ferdinand Barbedienne (* August 6, 1810 in Saint-Martin-de-Fresnay, Calvados department, France; † March 21, 1892 in Paris) was a French sculptor, bronze ware manufacturer, and gallery owner. One of the most important and popular Éditeurs d'art, or publishers of art articles, he had most of the French sculptors of his time under contract. Life and work Ferdinand Barbedienne was the son of a farmer. At the age of 13, he learned the Craft of saddlery. In 1822 he moved to Paris, where he first worked as a clerk in a wallpaper shop. He received start-up capital from his employer to open his own store, which he set up on Rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette in 1834. He pursued the idea of exhibiting bronze statues in addition to his core business and mass producing them in small format. In 1838, he joined forces with the mechanic Achille Collas, who had developed the machine á reduction (réducteur for short); a device based on the principles of the pantograph that could reproduce three-dimensional objects in any size - reduced or enlarged. On November 29, 1838, both signed the founding contract for the company Société Ferdinand Barbedienne et Achille Collas, which aimed to commercially exploit the mechanized production of sculptural works for an initial 20 years. Barbedienne took care of the commercial management of the company, while Collas contributed the patent on his invention and seven existing machines, and with his profound knowledge of machinery was responsible for the production processes. Together they decided on the subject matter of the objects, the selling prices, and all other financial matters. In 1841, they produced casts of the Apollo of Belvedere, the Spinario, and 21 pieces with the motif of a bas-relief of the Parthenon. These were followed by versions of the Laocoon group, the Venus of Arles, and the Borghese Fencer, among others. Special interest was initially shown in works from antiquity, for which casts from the Atelier de Moulage in the Louvre served as models. The company continued to produce works by representatives of the Renaissance such as Michelangelo, Donatello, Giovanni Bologna or by French sculptors such as Jean Goujon, Jean-François Flamand, Pierre Puget, François Girardon, Antoine Coysevox...

Abstract Painting Beige-brown-orange by the Leipzig Painter W. Biedermann 1987
Located in Salzburg, AT
Abstract painting on paper work by Wolfgang E. Biedermann, Leipzig Westgermany 1987 Small, repetitive motifs, characters, ciphers and writings, inspired by Asian calligraphers were generously painted over in abstract. Technique: Mixed media on paper Signature: Lower right by hand W. E. Biedermann 87 Short Biography: Wolfgang E. Biedermann was born in 1940 in Hannover - dece. 2008 in Leipzig Already as a high school student Wolfgang E. Biedermann's artistic talent was recognized by Ursula Mattheuer-Neustädt. She promoted him to evening studies at the Academy of Visual Arts (HGB) Leipzig. From 1961 Biedermann studied at the HGB in the specialist class for free graphics and painting with Gerhard Kurt Müller, completing his studies in 1967. Since 1968 Biedermann was active as a freelance artist in Leipzig. He undertook study trips to Poland, France and Indonesia, as well as to the USSR and the USA. From 1968 to 1991 he was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR and since 1996 a member of the Free Academy of Arts in Leipzig. The unique encounter with the German action artist Joseph Beuys had a great impact on Biedermann. The artistic work of Wolfgang E. Biedermann spanned from 1960 to 2008. His œuvre is characterized by the development of his own technique. In addition to drawings and sketches of the early work for study purposes he dealt over the years primarily with printing practices. He produced numerous abstract paintings and works on paper using color etching and silkscreen processes as well as multi-plate overprinting. Biedermann relied on different layering by means of various techniques of graphics and painting. He dealt extensively with overdrawing and overpainting his works. Repeating motifs are symbols, signs, ciphers and writings, which are based on Asian calligraphy. Biedermann dealt just as intensively with the content of philosophical writings by Peter Sloterdijk and with letters from the estate of Friedrich Schiller, which he transposed into the paintings. His color-intensive paintings reflect "inner landscapes". Klaus Werner coined this term as early as 1980 for the complete works of Wolfgang E. Biedermann. Since 1977 Wolfgang E. Biedermann presented his artworks at various exhibitions. On the occasion of his 50th birthday, the Lindenau Museum in Altenburg exhibited a comprehensive selection of 130 works in 1990. NordLB - Art, Hannover accompanied his further creative process for almost ten years with work locations in Berlin (Sony Center), Singapore, Zurich and Hamburg. At the EXPO 2000 in Hanover, twelve of his large-scale works were on display in the German pavilion. Parts of his œuvre have also been exhibited outside Germany in Tokyo, Paris, Damascus, Bilbao, Listovel, Mulhouse, Grenchen, Basel and Fredrikstad, among other places. Pair of Louis Seize Fire Gilded Candlesticks France 1800 by F. Barbedienne
Located in Salzburg, AT

Decorated and smooth elements in alternation create otically balanced object. The widest part of the stem is 4.0cm Ferdinand Barbedienne (* August 6, 1810 in Saint-Martin-de-Fresnay, Calvados department, France; † March 21, 1892 in Paris) was a French sculptor, bronze ware manufacturer, and gallery owner.

Italian Art Informel Painting Black, Grey, Red, Blue by Danilo Picchiotti, 1987
Located in Salzburg, AT
Fantastic large abstract informal painting with a poectic note in wonderful colors signed Danilo Picchiotti 1987. The original artist frame in red allows the artistic design to run into the frame or integrates the frame into the artwork Childhood and the French period Danilo Picchiotti was born in 1933. His childhood and youth are characterized by the restless search of an artistic expression for his own sensibility and perception, as well as his very strong sense of existence. This would eventually lead him to join an art club known as “I Pennelacci” (the Paintbrushes) in his hometown in Rome at the early age of 18. He then starts devoting himself exclusively and passionately to reading and painting. He moves to Paris in 1952. In Paris he explores the stimulating and innovativeenvironmentsrepresented by the local versions of Surrealism of the period. From that moment onwards, he allows his own existence to be overwhelmed by his art until he becomes his art’s main subject, firmly convinced that self-consciousness and stylistic research are closely linked. This immense labour will find the truest expression of his artistic and existential sensibility in Surrealism. From his early career to action painting. During the early 1970s, the artistic environment in Rome and his successful participation to several collective art exhibitions, especially with the “Pennellacci” club, leads him to his public debut and paves the way to a very important and busy period. Later on, after enormous intellectual labour, he approaches the gestural informal painting, also known as “Action Painting”. This art movement was mostly developed in the United States, and is also called Abstract Expressionism. The most celebrated artist of this movement is Jackson Pollock. In 1986 Danilo Picchiotti holds a number of exhibitions of works that are strongly influenced by this art movement (action painting). The latest works of the artist. In Europe, the French painter Jean Fautrier begins incorporating his paintings with plastic materials that burst out of the canvas, overcoming the boundary between two-dimensional images and plastic forms. This type of painting will be called “Matter Painting”; other painters will join this movement including Jean Dubuffet, Antoni Tápies and the Italian Alberto Burri. While some artists hide into the sign, others, including Picchiotti, emphasises the matter that identifies the work itself, by choosing any kind of material such as wood, fabric, glass, wall or even colour, which are arranged on the canvas, assuming their own physicality and are transformed, layer by layer, by using fire, water and other elements. Beginning from 2000, after several years of artistic inactivity due to health problems, Danilo Picchiotti, today more culturally open-minded than ever, returns to painting with determination, strength and energy giving birth to his new “GESTURAL MATTER” period. Major exhibitions and awards: a selection 1965 First Prize of the “Gatta d’oro” Award – Rome First Prize of the “Trevignano 1965” Award - Trevignano Art Exhibition at "Galleria Brandi" - Rome Art Exhibition at “Circolo Artistico” via Margutta – Rome Art Exhibition at “La Tozzella” Gallery – Avezzano First Prize of the “Riccio d’oro” Award, prize of Medaglia d’oro Award 1966 Art Exhibition at "La Saletta" Gallery- Frosinone Theatre and Painting exhibition at the "Piccolo Teatro" - Rome Figurative Art Exhibition at the "Piccolo Teatro" - Rome 18th Art Trade Show via Margutta – Rome International painting exhibition - Manziana 1967 International painting exhibition - Bracciano 1968 Exhibition at Geswind Villa at Meung sur Loire - France 1969 Art exhibition at the Hotel de Bordeaux Tours - France 1970 Art Exhibition at "Anfora" gallery - Paris Art Exhibition at "Hervè" gallery - Paris 1972 Art Exhibition at "Pencier" gallery - Paris Art Exhibition at "Bernier" gallery - Paris 1974 2nd prize of “IV edizione Cavalletto d'oro" Award - Florence 1975 Art Exhibition at "Galleria Facchetti” - Art Exhibition at "Daber" gallery - Paris 1977 Art Exibition at "Galerie Wolfang Gurlitt" - Munich 1978 Art Exhibition at "Galerie Ernest Fuchs...
