About the Item
Sharing with you this lovely and unusal Kutani porcelain footed bowl. The bowl has a lobed rim and central scene of a two birds on a branch. The ribbed curve with wickerwork and wave motifs. Beautiful colors and very nicely painted.
Base marked with a Fuku mark.
This piece was auctioned in 1984 by Sotheby's in Amsterdam, and described in their auction catalogue. See pictures.
Condition
Close to perfect, just some crackle lines and some fleebites on the rim, which is common on these pieces. Size 250x79mm diameterxheight

Sharing this lovely little dish from the second half of the 17th century.
It is an Early Japanese Enamel Decorated Saucer c.1660-1680.
It is sometimes described as early Kakiemon or early Kutani, Dr.Oliver Impey describes this type as “early enamels”. The enamels on this saucer are deeply coloured and thick, the colours are rather striking.
