A rare example of Chinese Export porcelain this Armorial Soup Plate made specifically in 1842 for the distinguished Cuban Nobleman, Marquis de Almendares Ignacio Herrera. This particular example stands out due to its larger size (9.75 -Inch diameter) and remarkable condition, free from any restoration. Adorned with a 'jeweled' coronet (Crown) above the inscription 'Exmo Sor Marques de Almendares' personalizing this plate as commissioned especially for the esteemed Marqués de Almendares.
