Japanese Contemporary Red Black Cream Porcelain Bowl by Master Artist, 2

About the Item

Mesmerizing Japanese contemporary signed exhibition porcelain bowl/centerpiece in stunning red, cream and black, a signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed award-winning Japanese master porcelain artist, in the artist's beloved signature shape and breathtaking signature colors. This artist is a widely respected master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan. He is the recipient of outstanding awards in honor of his unique and exceptional hand-glazing techniques, recognizing his many contributions to this centuries old art. He is a master of Yohen technique, roughly translated as “alchemy of the kiln,” in which minute variations in closely guarded glaze recipes and kiln temperatures produce a stunning pallet of hues and patterns manifested in subtle but awe-inspiring gradation of colors. One of his most notable signature gradation patterns is referred to a “galaxy,” where the “alchemy of the kiln” produces the effect of millions of stars glowing faintly in distant skies. The artist's profile is available upon request. In this striking piece, one of his “galaxy” creations, the mixture of iron oxides in the glaze creates an ethereal vision of millions of stars, all around the crackled inner surface of this exceptional piece. This mesmerizing effec makes this bowl a memorable piece and an amazin focal point. It will be a fascinating focal point that invites the viewer to approach it to explore and enjoy all its details. The images are not able to convey the presence and extraordinary signature colors and "galaxy" patterns of this outstanding decorative piece. It is an absolutely mesmerizing piece! This exquisite hand-glazed porcelain bowl by this well respected master artist comes in a custom-made wooden case with the artist’s signature. Dimensions: H 7.5 in D 17 in
