About the Item

Extraordinary Japanese contemporary museum-quality decorative porcelain vase, extremely intricately hand-painted on a stunningly shaped globular body in vivid emerald green, red and cream with generous application of high purity gold and platinum, a mesmerizing signed masterpiece by highly acclaimed second-generation award-winning master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan. He is the recipient of prestigious awards for his extremely complicated geometric patterns that apply the most sophisticated and demanding techniques of miniature painting to the complex and curved surfaces of porcelain pieces. The artist's profile is available upon request. This breathtaking porcelain vase features the artist's beloved signature pattern with two round medallions that showcase painstakingly intricate gradation patterns in deep red and emerald green with high purity platinum and gold details. The placement of the gilded lines is carefully calibrated to maximize the response to changes in the lighting and to create a constantly shifting kaleidoscope-like effect. To draw the viewer ever deeper into its whirling pattern, the focal point of the design has been placed slightly north of center to grab and hold the eye. The medalions and the surrounding pattern create a striking contrast that attract the viewer to approach and explore the details of this breathtaking piece. This magnificent vase comes in a custom-made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 9 in D 8.5 in
