Beautifully crafted and glazed with amazing detail to facial features.
Signed by the artist.
Listing as Meiji period but very possibly from the Edo period.
Would make for a great addition to any Japanese/ Asian ceramic collection or eye-catching stand-alone work in about any setting. We have not seen another quite like it. Comes with a custom-made wood base.
