A Satsuma vase painted with polychrome enamels and pure gold

About the Item

A Satsuma cylindrical vase in the shape of a bottle decorated and painted with polychrome enamels and pure gold. The two reserves present, on one side, a scene of daily life, with geishas and Karako children, while on the other side a rooster and a hen stand out. The reserves are framed by elegant geometric motifs that separate the scenes. Signed Kozan under the base. Period: Meiji late 19th century. Dimensions: 12 x 5.5 cm. Condition: Excellent
