Chinese Export Silver Mug with Bamboo Decoration
About the Item
A Chinese Export silver mug with a bamboo handle, and decorated with a bird and moth amongst profuse bamboo decoration on a matte background. The mug is of double-skinned form and the interior sleeve has traces of old gilding.
The total weight is 259gm and the base is marked LEO, which was a firm working in Canton in the mid-nineteenth century, with this mug being made around 1860.
