A Pair of Antique 20th Century Chinese Gilt Copper Elephant Form Censers with Jade Rings and Inset with Coral, Lapis Lazuli, Sandstone, and Turquoise. These gilt-bronze/copper censers are designed in the form of elephants. Each features bodies adorned with jade rings and inlays of semi-precious stones, including coral, lapis lazuli, sandstone, and turquoise. The elephants are fitted with detailed saddles and harnesses, and their backs support containers for burning incense. These containers are decorated with pierced and chased motifs and accented with hanging jade rings. The censers combine decorative and practical elements, making them suitable for ceremonial use.
