Hand Painted Abstract Expressionism Calligraphy Asian Screen

About the Item

Hand painted abstract expressionism calligraphy Asian folding screen, in the manner of Robert Motherwell, Sofu Teshigahara, et al, believed to be Japanese, circa 1950s. This piece is a large and impressive size, when fully extended flat, it measures 135' width x 70" height. The width as shown in the first photo, folded at angles, is 94". The front side is constructed of a hand painted paper or fabric, and the back side is a gold color patterned paper or fabric.
