Ushio Takahashi Signed Japanese Mezzotint Print of Beautiful Woman "Reflecting"

About the Item

A beautiful and alluring limited edition mezzotint print by Japanese artist Ushio Takahashi (born 1944). This work is titled "Reflecting". Ushio is widely known for his captivating images of beautiful Japanese women (bijin-ga portraits) who exude sensuality and a degree of mystery. He is famed for his mezzotint technique - a monochrome printmaking process - that helps him achieve refined realistic images. The work is hand pencil signed (with additional embossed signature seal below), titled (in Japanese) and numbered (51/95) by the artist in the lower margin. Would be a great addition to any Japanese or Asian art/print collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent artwork in about in any setting. Takahashi's work can be found in various collections and museums including: The British Museum, London, United Kingdom (UK) Eidan Subway Collection, Tokyo, Japan Korea Culture and Art Institute, Seoul, South Korea Museum of the Japan Monopoly Corporation Musashino Art University, Tokyo, Japan Tobacco and Salt Museum, Tokyo, Japan The piece was originally purchased and framed in Japan and comes with the original paperwork attached to the verso.
