The ultimate jumbo 13" diameter antique door knocker, Circa 1860 ! Rare Japanese Find- Imperial Family Crest- Auspicious "Long Life And Happiness" Two halves of of an iron chrysanthemum, the imperial family crest, creates a full chrysanthemum iron door knocker from the Edo Period, circa 1860. Underneath each iron ring is an auspicious kanji character: one is "Kotobuki" meaning 'long life' and the other "Fuku" meaning 'happiness.' Wow! The iron chrysanthemum halves are attached to a wooden display board by iron screws. The original decades old natural patina enhances this amazing work of art. Dimensions: Door knocker is 13 Inches diameter; attached to a 14 inch x 18 inch wood display mounting board by hand wrought iron screws which are removable. A thick old rope allows hanging the board if you wish. Unique opportunity to install on your favorite door or as an enchanting one-of-a-kind collectible for display. Only one.
