Probably English this is an unusual desk thermometer with a hunting theme.
Set on an oval base the standing figure of a hunter looks into the middle distance for his quarry. He is dressed in medieval clothes and wears a cap on his head with a feather in it and holds a hunting horn in his right hand.
By his feet stands his lurcher hunting hound sniffing for scent.

This fine antique sterling silver photograph frame has a rounded, subtly waisted shaped form with an oval internal window.
The plain body of this Edwardian frame is encompassed with a paralleling embossed border accented with scrolling leaf and floral motif ornamentation to the upper portion.
The rim of the internal window is embellished with a further plain embossed border.
This frame retains the original oak wood back and hinged strut, securing with a swivel catch.
This fine Edwardian piece is inset with a removable glass panel.
