This exceptional antique George III sterling silver fruit basket has a plain rounded rectangular form onto a collet style foot. The body of this impressive sterling silver basket is comprised of wirework loops accented with a solid silver swept, rounded border accented with applied gadroon decoration to the rim. The border design is incorporated into the integrated cylindrical sterling silver handles at either end of the body; each handle features an impressive cast and applied leaf design to the handpiece.
