About the Item

A fine mid-century Rosenthal porcelain figurine. In the form of a pair of penguins huddling together with one another. Entitled "Pinguinpaar" (Penguin Pair), design no. 693. Designed by Karl Himmelstoss for Rosenthal. Marked to the base with a green Rosenthal maker's mark, two old Rosenthal labels, an A.S. Cooper & Sons Bermuda retail label. There is an impressed mark beneath one of the Rosenthal labels which is likely H.693 for the model number. Simply a wonderful Rosenthal penguin figurine! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Rosenthal Pattern: H 693 Marks: Marked to bottom of the base with a green Rosenthal maker's mark, two old Rosenthal labels, an A.S. Cooper & Sons Bermuda purchase label. There is an impressed mark beneath one of the Rosenthal labels which is likely H.693 for the model number. There is an impressed 'K. Himmelstoss' to the back of the base.
