About the Item

A very fine limited edition modernist bronze bust by noted Spanish artist Pedro Pruna O'Cerans, impressed with limited edition number 3 of 8, together with the artists signature, and Bechini Foundry marks. Exhibiting a fine black patina overall and raised upon a black / grey marble plinth. Overall height, 8.75” (including 1” base). Weight, 7.2 lbs. ARTIST BIO: Pedro Pruna O’Cerans (1904-1977), was a protégé of Pablo Picasso and a member of the Catalan Royal Academy of Fine Art. His works on canvas are often seen in the market, however sculptures by the artist are relatively rare. As previously noted, this limited bronze is number 3 of only 8 castings ever made.
