About the Item

An exceptional French Art Nouveau Daum Frères Violets miniature cameo glass vase wheel cut with raised designs in colored enamels on an etched ground dating from around 1900. The tall slender bodied vase stands on a wide clear glass rounded foot, the lower body on an orange earth colored with cut with leafy stems which trail up the body with exquisite purple and yellow violet flowers set against a mottled white ground. The vase has a cameo 'Daum Nancy' and a croix de Lorraine mark applied to the lower body. In good condition with a few minor making blemishes.
