Herman August Kahler Danish Art Nouveau Large Art Pottery Vase



A large and impressive Danish art pottery vase decorated with brown and green slip patterns on a cream ground by Herman August Kahler (1846-1917) for Kahler Keramiks and dating from around 1910. The tall bulbous shaped vase stands on a narrow rounded foot with a narrow rounded top with a thickly potted rim. The body of the vase is glazed in cream colored glazes with simple slip designs applied in brown and green and repeated around the body. The vase is signed HAK to the base and marked DENMARK. In good condition and a rare find at this size.
