About the Item

A stunning pair Austrian heliosine iridescent glazed art pottery vases by Karl Rudolf Ditmar (1818-1895). The pair of squat double gourd shaped vases are decorated in rich green heliosine iridescent glazes with a fine textured finish with other colors coming through the glaze as the light hits the vases. Both have impressed R.D.Z. Makers marks to the base along with impressed number 21008. Made in Znaim, Moravia, Austria (now Znojmo, Czech Republic). Offered in good condition.
