The hand-crafted Danish art nouveau Lybian styled vases by P. Ipsens Enke were designed in 1875 and manufactored in 1875, 1886 and 1903 and are both in good vintage condition.
P. Ipsens Enke (1843 - 1955) was a very succesfull Danish manufactorer that especially during the first part of the 1900´s managed to attract several leading names in Danish design who worked for the manufactorer who exported their pieces to many countries.
Over the years, the manufactorers creations acquired 56 first-class international prizes and are represented in many public institutions among them Neue Pinakothek in Munich, the National Museum in Stockholm, the Los Angeles Museum in California, Cleveland and the Brooklyn Museums, the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, the National Museum of Finland in Helsinki, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Les Amis des Musees de la ville de Mons, Brussels, the National Arts Club in New York and the Latvian National History Museum in Riga.
