About the Item
Very rare pair of Asian Modern Trenton Art China (TAC) Art Deco vases by Trenton Potteries in a Treton Chartreuse glaze. Urn shaped with concentric rings at the flared rim tapering to a waist, with Asian inspire stylized floral bulbous middle, tapering to fluted base. Both with TAC stamps used between 1935-1942 on the bottoms with Made in the USA.
This pair of beautiful vases were bought in Mexico City in the early 1970s from a venerable high end department store Nietos, established in the 1920s which was liquidating all inventory due to its closing. These vases from past decades, had been found while clearing their stock storage areas, were brought up and displayed on their sales floor. Some of the other named items for sale, Stilnovo lighting, Venini pieces even some Lalique, Nietos must have been an incredible shop in its days. New old stock never used. Hidden treasure even then, now more so.
