Asian Modern 3pcs Catalina Franciscan Ware of California Ceramic Vessels, 1930s

About the Item

Asian inspired grouping of 3 rare ceramic vessels by Franciscan Ware division of Gladding-McBean Pottery. These 3 Mid-Century Modern pieces have a maroon glaze on the outside and either Mandarin Yellow, the two vases, or Lime Green glaze, bowl, on the inside. Originally created by Catalina Potteries of Catalina Island, Franciscan Ware continued using their molds since the 1937 purchase of Catalina Clay through 1941. In Very Good condition with no damaged or issues. All three pieces with the Franciscan Ware of California ink stamp on the bottom and the two vases with an additional foil label. Beautiful grouping that will give your decor a Modern Oriental accent. Measurements: Large – 6 1/8 inches sq. top x 3 1/2 inches sq. bottom x 4 1/4 inches high – Small – 4 1/2 inches sq. x 3 inches high – Bowl – 8 3/4 inches sq. x 2 3/8 inches high.
