Large, substantial Italian mid-century hand chased grape motif 800 silver wine cooler with matching serving tray/underplate by Pietro Chinetti, Via Leonardo da Vinci 2, Milan(Gallarate), Varese, created between 1955-1971. Great modern interpretation of a classic Italian motif of grape vine decoration with wonderful hand hammered details. The large wine cooler is perfect for wine or champagne and may also serve beautifully as a vase for a lovely bouquet of flowers or a centerpiece. The matching serving tray/underplate is ideal for cheese or hors d'oeuvres. Quality piece, great Italian craftsmanship and design. The wine cooler is 8" high, 6.88" diameter The tray is 13" diameter Marks: 800, star 08 VA, makers mark stamp Condition is very good with normal surface wear commensurate with age.

Rare, very early George I period silver brandy/spirits warmer, Joseph Clare I, London, 1714. Wonderful, historically interesting 308 years barware piece. Classic circular tapering form with a shaped base, heavy solid silver with a beautifully turned oak handle. Fully hallmarked on the side of the body Period initials on the bottom of base N E M Measurements: 3.32 inches in diameter, 5.25 inches to the to of handle, 2.13 inches height of vessel. 1714 was the year George I ascended the throne, making this an interesting, very early piece of Georgian silver. Excellent piece in very good condition commensurate with age. Beautiful old patina on the silver and the fine oak handle.
