About the Item
Large, substantial Italian mid-century hand chased grape motif 800 silver wine cooler with matching serving tray/underplate by Pietro Chinetti, Via Leonardo da Vinci 2, Milan(Gallarate), Varese, created between 1955-1971. Great modern interpretation of a classic Italian motif of grape vine decoration with wonderful hand hammered details. The large wine cooler is perfect for wine or champagne and may also serve beautifully as a vase for a lovely bouquet of flowers or a centerpiece. The matching serving tray/underplate is ideal for cheese or hors d'oeuvres. Quality piece, great Italian craftsmanship and design.
The wine cooler is 8" high, 6.88" diameter
The tray is 13" diameter
Marks: 800, star 08 VA, makers mark stamp
Condition is very good with normal surface wear commensurate with age.
